Edinburgh Day 3

Today Jim and Marion picked us up and drove us to destinations we couldn't have made it to otherwise.  We started out the day with a drive around Arthur's Seat (the old volcanic mound in the middle of Edinburgh).  We visited Rosslyn Chapel - the chapel that, according to Davinci Code, houses the holy grail.   We then went on a trip down memory lane with dad.  We went past all three of his 'digs' in the Edinburgh area, the Masonic lodge where church used to be held, and then saw the LDS church that was built 30 years ago.  We traveled out to Elphinstone where mom has traced the Hampton line back to from the 1600's.  She wanted to stand on her ancestors' ground and she also picked up some dirt from the area.  What a great experience that was.  Dad and Crissy finished up the day with an underground Edinburgh tour and brought pizza back for dinner.  Again, another fantastic day.  Edinburgh is a city that is easy to fall in love with.  We leave tomorrow...sad to be saying goodbye to Edinburgh, but excited to see the highlands.

Rosslyn Chapel.  No pictures were allowed inside the chapel.  We were able to go down into the crypt where you can see the burial tomb of a Templar knight.
