We had a great time today. We toured St. Giles Cathedral then started our hop on hop off bus tours of the city. One of the tours took us to the Royal Yacht Brittania (the royal family's yacht) which was retired in 1997 and is now docked on the Leith harbor on the Firth of Forth. We had fish and chips for dinner from Castle Rock's. Dad was in heaven. Tomorrow will bring the castle, palace and some shopping.

The long stairway down from royal mile to waverly station. Our original plan was to ride the bus from the airport to waverly station and then walk and pull our luggage to our apartment. These stairs were going to be our route up.....Yikers!!!!! Thank goodness for our stroke of genius and the taxi ride because this picture only shows about one third of the stairs. I think we all would have needed heart meds after trying to haul our luggage up that.
